As a first grade teacher, I was tired of feeling run-down and tired all the time. I had tried all the diets and going to a gym. I was first introduced to Real Fitness in March of 2010, but didn’t try it for the first time till May 2010. In March I started with a local chiropractor where I learned to eat a strict no sugar or carbohydrate menu. I dropped 20 pounds in the first month. That motivated me to try Crossfit and get losing!
At first I was really hesitant to try it, but then I decided I would take advantage of the 7-day trial. My first workout of the day (WOD) was a baseline workout. I could only do a handful of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. I knew I had a long journey ahead. The coaches at Real Fitness adjusted the WOD’s to fit my fitness ability and with each workout I made new gains. They were all there to encourage me and to push me to my best. Some days I thought I was going to die on the floor, but I always felt great after!
When I started this healthy adventure I weighed 255 and wore a tight size 22. Although I still have goals to meet, I would say that I am at my halfway point. I currently wear a size 14 and weigh 222 pounds. I couldn’t have gotten this far without the staff of Real Fitness. They are believed in me and pushed me to be my very best!
